Less Energy. Lower Drive. What’s Behind the Change?

Changes in how you feel deserve a closer look. These concerns can have several causes, including low testosterone. At Infinite Health, we consider your symptoms alongside your medical history and appropriate testing to understand what may be contributing.

Persistent Fatigue
& Low Energy

You feel drained during the workday or have less energy for family, hobbies, and the activities you used to enjoy.

Lower Sex Drive

Your interest in intimacy has declined, and the change is affecting your confidence, connection, or satisfaction.

Changes in Erections

You notice fewer spontaneous erections or difficulty getting or maintaining an erection. These changes deserve a broader health evaluation.

Reduced Muscle
& Strength

You notice a loss of muscle or find familiar physical tasks more challenging, even while trying to stay active.

Difficulty Concentrating

Staying focused feels harder. You lose your train of thought or struggle to stay engaged with tasks that once felt straightforward.

Mood Changes
& Irritability

You feel more irritable, less motivated, or unlike yourself, and the difference is showing up at home or at work.

Testosterone & Men’s Health: Common Questions

My testosterone is “normal.” Why don’t I feel my best?

Laboratory reference ranges describe results found in a reference population. They provide useful context, but being within that range does not automatically mean your symptoms are explained or your health goals are being met.

At Infinite Health, Dr. Goolsby, takes a bio-individualized approach. He considers your testosterone results alongside your symptoms, medical history, metabolic health, daily habits, and goals for health and longevity.

The aim is to understand what is appropriate for you and build a plan that supports how you feel and function. There is no single testosterone number that is optimal for every man, and a result within the reference range does not automatically warrant hormone treatment.

How does Dr. Goolsby, evaluate low testosterone?

Your evaluation includes a discussion of your symptoms, medications, sleep, health history, and previous results. Diagnosing testosterone deficiency generally requires relevant symptoms and consistently low testosterone levels, confirmed with our comprehensive laboratory - additional evaluation may also help identify contributing factors.

Does hormone optimization always involve testosterone replacement?

Not necessarily. Your personal recommendations depend on the findings of your evaluation. Your plan may address nutrition, metabolic health, physical fitness, sleep, and other contributing factors. When testosterone therapy is appropriate, Trip Goolsby, MD, explains the options, risks, and monitoring involved.

Can testosterone therapy affect fertility?

Yes. Testosterone therapy can suppress sperm production. Tell Dr. Goolsby, if you want children now or in the future so your evaluation and treatment discussion account for your fertility goals.

Are peptides or regenerative medicine options part of the approach?

These options may be discussed when relevant to your needs and goals. Dr. Goolsby evaluates the specific therapy and explains its supporting evidence, approval status, potential risks, and alternatives before making a recommendation.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes. Infinite Health offers appointments at our Metairie office and virtual consultations, serving Greater New Orleans and the Gulf South. Our wellness coordinator can help confirm appointment availability for your location and explain any testing or in-person evaluation that may be needed.
